Beauty Drink




 A client said something to me this morning that I’ve been thinking about all day. She said:

  I wish I’d taken better care of my skin when I was younger.”

Have you ever felt this way,

Chances are, we’ve all had this thought at some point. Most of us learned the hard way that the tiniest things we do every day… can really make or break our appearance down the line…

Whether we’re talking about sun damage, inconsistent skincare routines, or even what we eat.

Which is why sometimes, in this newsletter, I like to share simple recipes that can help you get back that youthful glow…

In fact, since my last email about low-sugar fruits, I’ve received a TON of requests for tips on how to “eat your way to younger skin”!

And that’s why I’m excited to tell you about a quick, simple way to brighten your complexion from the inside out.

It’s one of nature’s most powerful anti-aging ingredients… and you probably already have it in your spice cabinet: turmeric.


You read that right! The yellow spice found in curry powder can give you a youthful, radiant complexion.

Let me give you a quick background...

Turmeric produces a compound called curcumin – a powerhouse ingredient with many naturally-occurring skincare benefits.

Curcumin is full of powerful antioxidants that fight skin-aging free radicals… making it a strong defense against the visible signs of aging.1

Curcumin is also proven to support your skin’s collagen growth process — which is essential to getting a younger, firmer, and more radiant look.2

Now, you may have already heard about the benefits of topically applying turmeric to your skin…

But you can get even MORE powerful results by drinking a delicious “turmeric beauty elixir” every morning!

In fact, starting your day with this potent “cocktail” is an easy way to make you look AND feel beautiful – and begin to repair all that damage from years ago.

I’ve shared this recipe for my turmeric morning elixir with many of my clients, because it’s both easy to make, and provides effective results.

(I’ve even had clients tell me that drinking this elixir is their FAVORITE part of their morning routine!)

Here’s how to make it:
  1. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Remove from heat and pour the water into a drinking glass.
     
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (the equivalent of ½ a lemon’s worth of juice) and 1 teaspoon of honey. Stir well.
     
  3. Stir in ¼ teaspoon of ground turmeric and a pinch of black pepper.
     
  4. (This last ingredient is key – adding a pinch of black pepper makes curcumin more easily absorbed into the bloodstream.3)
     
  5. Stir well, then allow the drink to steep for 20 minutes. Drink at room temperature.

This morning elixir is most effective on an empty stomach, so I recommend drinking it right when you wake up... then follow with your usual morning routine.

Repeat this process daily to reawaken your skin and bring new life to your complexion. (I really think you’re going to love it!)

And by the way, younger-looking skin isn’t the only perk you’ll notice about this drink…
