Top 10 Essential Oils for beauty








 1. Lavender.

Lavender is one of the few oils that compliments most other oils. Add a few drops to the bottom of your feet and enjoy a relaxing sleep or use it for calming, itching boils and burns.

2. Frankincense.

Used for inflammation, pigmentation and warts, the “king of oils” can help enhance the effect of other oils. This antibacterial oil is beneficial for acne as well.

3. Ylang Ylang.

Used to stimulate cell growth and improve elasticity, ylang ylang is also used in Ayurvedic medicine to stimulate the heart chakra.

4. Tea Tree.

Tea tree oil eases physical and emotional stress by purifying the mind and body. It also is antibact­erial, helping to heal wounds and regulate sebum in acne prone skin.

5. Geranium.

Used to balance oil production and promote blood circulation, geranium can be added into a moisturizer to soothe dermatitis and eczema.

6. Clary Sage.

In its Latin form Salvia sclarea (clary sage), salvia comes from “salvere” meaning “to save,” and sclarea comes from “clarus” meaning “clear.” is most often used to support the hormonal system (usually in women), but it can also be helpful for stress, mood swings, and soothing skin.

7. Neroli.

Used for mature aging and sensitive skin, neroli contains a natural chemical called citral that helps regenerate cells as well as preventing/ treating stretch marks.

8. Lemongrass.

There are over 50 different species of lemongrass, which can be used to enhance your mood and spirit like other citrus oils. It is found to stimulate and purify.

9. Myrrh. 

It is believed that Egyptians used myrrh to heal chapped skin, rashes and eczema. It is used to restore and revitalize aging skin.

10. Chamomile.

The European market uses chamomile extensively in skin preparations. It is beneficial for sensitive skin and rosacea, but it is also calming for those dealing with shock or grief.


Clary sage oil Women’s Health



1. Stress Relief or Sleep
Inhale or diffuse two to three drops of clary sage oil. Combine with Roman chamomile and add to bath water. Also, you can apply it to your pillow for a restful sleep.

2. For cramps and pain relief, dilute five drops of clary sage oil with five drops of carrier oil, like coconut or jojoba oil. Massage into painful areas.

3. Eye Care
Add two to three drops of clary sage oil for a warm, clean washcloth, and press over the eyes for 10 minutes.
4. Skin Care
Combine clary sage oil with five drops of carrier oil. Apply it to the affected areas of the skin.

5. Hair Health
Massage equal parts rosemary oil and clary sage oil into the scalp during a shower.


DIY Sleepy Time Pillow & Linen Spray


You will need:

  • a 2 oz Glass Bottle with a Fine Mist Sprayer

  • 1/2 tsp rubbing alcohol or vodka (this helps the scent linger)

  • Distilled Water

  • 6 drops Lavender Essential Oil

  • 1 drop Clary Sage Essential Oil (NOT to be used during pregnancy)

  • 3 drops Roman Chamomile Essential Oil


Instructions:


  • Add 1/2 tsp rubbing alcohol or vodka to a clean, 1 oz bottle.  Add essential oils and swirl bottle gently to combine.

  • Fill the rest of the bottle (up to the neck) with distilled water and screw on the sprayer top.   Shake to combine.

  • Shake the bottle before each use.
