Today I am going to share with you an easy and inexpensive way for you to create your own brand of beauty products. We will be talking about private labeling, with my guest K A S S M U R D O C H from Onoxa a company that's makes having your branded products so ridiculously easy. So what do I mean by private label? These are products sold by a retailer with it's company name on the label, but manufactured by a third party. Part of our income as an independent beauty professional comes from the sale of our products. Right now with coivn for some of us it may be an important source of income for us.
I have come to realize that by having your own branded products, with your business name on the label can create a loyal customer base. As you know I have been an Esthetician for a lot of years. Though out those years, I have seen so many of our professional product in up on amazon or being sold to clients in ultra or Sephora or even the Home shopping net. I have change product lines several times because of this.
Have you ever dreamed of having your own brand but felt over whelmed with having to source products, container. labels, the expense of designing a label, the expense than having to buy bulk amounts of just one product. Well, I have found an easy an inexpensive for u to make that dream come true.
With Onoxa you can get started first by picking out full size sample to test or try out. I started with the 4 piece sample kit. I got 4 full size beauty products with my own label on them for under $50. If you use the code "ask the beauty" you get 15% off of that already low price. I have posted a link in the show note to the website, so start checking it now while your listing today's episode. Then, If you decide try some of the sample kit be sure and use the code "ask the beauty" and save. I am excited to get our guest Kass on, she will be able give you more details. So let get started with that interview.

The Benefits of Private Label Products
- Reduced Cost – In private label cosmetics, the base formulation is already made and owned by the manufacturer. This means you don’t have to spend thousands or tens of thousands of dollars to recreate the wheel. Most cosmetic formulations are within 5-10% of each other, anyway. So why would you pay to start from scratch? Private label brands (or own brand labels) are products sold by a retailer with its own packing, but manufactured by a third party.
- · Streamlined Decision Making – When you venture out into the world of cosmetics manufacturing, it can be really scary. There’s so many new terms, ingredients, packaging decisions, printing decisions – it’s all too much! When you white label your cosmetics, you don’t have to make so many decisions. You usually test the formulation - and if you like it, you – choose your colors, and give the company your logo to print. It’s really that simple. This is ideal for a beginner, who needs time to get their feet wet and catch up on all the industry lingo.
- Reduced Liability – This may not strike you as important, but it is. When you manufacture cosmetics in-house, you are responsible for the safety and cleanliness of the environment in which you manufacture – legally responsible. If a customer has any type of issue or decides to sue for any reason, you need to be able to show beyond the shadow of a doubt that you maintained clean, safe conditions during the manufacturing of said product. How can you prove it? With photos, lab notes, documented procedures, your internal company lab standards, proof that you were following GMP, batch codes… the list goes on and on. It’s way too much for a beginner or solopreneur to take on. When you manufacture with a contract manufacturer (that is – someone who makes your formula for you) or a private label lab, they take on the liability. They pay for the necessary insurance. You remove a huge liability from the process. I’m not saying don’t carry liability insurance – you definitely should – but when you remove manufacturing from your wheelhouse, you remove a lot of liability from your process.
There’s already so many tasks that an entrepreneur has to take on in running his or her business. with outsourcing from this company, can reducing the burden?
Affordability
Production costs are expensive, and new businesses and brands often find that they would be better suited in investing their time and money into things like branding and marketing during the launch process. Private labeling gives business owners the freedom to do so because the products are more affordable than they would be if they were made to order. But private labeled cosmetics are not just for new businesses. Many brands make a major profit off of buying private label cosmetics for wholesale prices, putting their logos on the packaging, and turning them around for a much higher retail price in both online and retail stores. This guide talks about which private label products do well.
Low Order Minimums
The biggest risk that retail beauty brands take is in having too much product and not being able to sell it. Private labeling minimizes that risk with low order minimums and fair prices. Clients are still able to get good wholesale prices on their products without having to order major quantities, meaning it can feel more realistic to sell all of your product if you are a new business just starting out and don’t want to make a massive investment risk.On that note, smaller order quantities often translates to affordability because you do not have to make massive orders at one time. This makes it easy to launch a new business with just a few thousand dollars’ worth of investment to start.

However, they are no longer seen as second-class alternatives, because consumers recognize that private label products deliver quality comparable to national brands.
